15 runners, most of which are recolored from the RX-78 Ver. 2.0. Of course, you don’t get parts for the standard shield, beam javelin, or hyper hammer. That was replaced by the full armor plates and weapons.

To your left are the adhesive pads that will be attached to the armor. More details on that when I’m actually working on the armor.

Interesting about this iteration of the Full Armor Gundam is the fact that it equips beam sabers. The two times I’ve seen it in action, the first being Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space for the PS2, and the second being Gundam Battle Universe for the PSP, I don’t recall it using beam sabers. In GBU, it simply punches. I don’t remember its melee attack in EiS, and I’m too lazy to look on youtube for a video. Equipping beam sabers is understandable, since they’d be a last defense should the enemy slip through the heavy fire this Gundam can provide. For me, I guess its just weird seeing it equip beam sabers knowing I’ve never seen it do so.

I started with the core fighter. The major draw of the RX-78 2.0′s frame is that the core fighter is no longer a hindrance in the Gundam’s ability to swivel its waist. That’s great, but in both this and the RX-78, I had difficulty snapping in the little connector fin thingy that connected the fin of the core fighter to the cockpit. Anytime I tried to move the cockpit, that connector fin thingy snapped out, and bent, making the cockpit hard to swivel without disassembling  the connection. It was the most aggravating part of building the core fighter. Knowing me, I likely didn’t set it up right, but I didn’t buy this just to build a core fighter, so I finished the core fighter and am looking to finish the upper body by Saturday night.
